This washed microlot from Segundo Pintado Laban's Finca La Palma showcases the vibrant character of high-altitude coffees from Cajamarca, Peru. Grown at 1,900 MASL, carefully selected cherries undergo an extended fermentation designed to build sweetness and complexity while maintaining clarity in the cup. After slow drying in parabolic dryers, the coffee develops a refined structure and remarkable balance. Expect bright cranberry acidity, juicy orange citrus and a rich palm sugar sweetness in a cup that is both expressive and elegant.

Flavour notes: Cranberry, Orange, Palm Sugar

Origin Story

Segundo Pintado Laban has built a reputation in northern Peru through a relentless focus on quality and continuous improvement. Based in San Miguel, Tabaconas, his farm La Palma sits at 1,900 metres above sea level in the highlands of Cajamarca.
After undertaking formal training in harvesting, fermentation and coffee evaluation, Segundo began competing in regional quality competitions. Just five years after entering specialty coffee production, he won ExpoCafé Tabaconas, a milestone that helped shape his future as a producer. Since then, he has continued refining his cultivation and processing practices, earning recognition for coffees that combine careful craftsmanship with the exceptional growing conditions of Peru's northern highlands.

Process & care

Our sourcing philosophy

Every coffee has a story. Every cup connects people. Sourcing coffee is not just about logistics and contracts. It’s about people, patience, and purpose. Every bag of green coffee represents someone’s work, someone’s story, and a shared pursuit of excellence.

Our relationships are built at Origin. We create partnerships built on respect, shared goals, and good coffee. We believe the best coffees come from long-term partnerships. Many of our producers have worked with us for years, refining the characteristics of the coffee we seek. These relationships are built on mutual respect and open communication. Travelling to visit our producing partners is key to nurturing relationships that matter.

Consistency and quality

From origin to roastery, every step is about consistency. Every shipment we receive is cupped and compared against its pre-ship sample to confirm that the coffee matches the quality and profile we expect. It’s a process that demands time and focus, but it’s what ensures every batch of Deluca coffee delivers on flavour and reliability.
