Origin Story

Grown at La Fortaleza, meaning “The Fortress”, this coffee reflects the strength and quiet beauty of the land it comes from. The farm belongs to Marco Ricardo Morocho and his wife Andrea, perched at 1,350 meters and inherited from Marco’s mother, whose determination laid the foundation they farm today. Surrounded by lush, water-rich mountains, careful picking, clean fermentation, and patient drying bring balance, precision, and energy to every sip.

Process & care

Our sourcing philosophy

Every coffee has a story. Every cup connects people. Sourcing coffee is not just about logistics and contracts. It’s about people, patience, and purpose. Every bag of green coffee represents someone’s work, someone’s story, and a shared pursuit of excellence.

Our relationships are built at Origin. We create partnerships built on respect, shared goals, and good coffee. We believe the best coffees come from long-term partnerships. Many of our producers have worked with us for years, refining the characteristics of the coffee we seek. These relationships are built on mutual respect and open communication. Travelling to visit our producing partners is key to nurturing relationships that matter.

Consistency and quality

From origin to roastery, every step is about consistency. Every shipment we receive is cupped and compared against its pre-ship sample to confirm that the coffee matches the quality and profile we expect. It’s a process that demands time and focus, but it’s what ensures every batch of Deluca coffee delivers on flavour and reliability.
