A Special Release from Finca El Diviso in Pitalito, Colombia, this natural Ombligón is as distinctive as its name. Grown at 1,750-1,900 MASL, this intriguing variety takes its name from the Spanish word for “navel”, referring to the unusual shape of its cherries. Brothers Néstor and Adrián Lasso have built El Diviso around experimentation, rare varieties and exceptional coffee. The result is an expressive, silky cup bursting with vibrant cranberry, creamy soda-like sweetness and a surprising mint chocolate finish.

Origin Story

Located in Normandía near Pitalito, Huila, Finca El Diviso is an 18-hectare family farm led by brothers Néstor and Adrián Lasso. After taking over from their parents, the brothers chose to reimagine the farm, moving beyond traditional production to explore specialty coffee, unusual varieties and innovative processing.
Among their most intriguing coffees is Ombligón, a naturally occurring mutation identified in Huila and named for the distinctive navel like shape of its cherries. Alongside Ombligón, the brothers cultivate an extraordinary collection of varieties, using experimentation to continually explore the potential of their land. Their work represents an exciting new generation of Colombian producers, combining family heritage with curiosity, ambition and a determination to push coffee quality forward.

Process & care

Our sourcing philosophy

Every coffee has a story. Every cup connects people. Sourcing coffee is not just about logistics and contracts. It’s about people, patience, and purpose. Every bag of green coffee represents someone’s work, someone’s story, and a shared pursuit of excellence.

Our relationships are built at Origin. We create partnerships built on respect, shared goals, and good coffee. We believe the best coffees come from long-term partnerships. Many of our producers have worked with us for years, refining the characteristics of the coffee we seek. These relationships are built on mutual respect and open communication. Travelling to visit our producing partners is key to nurturing relationships that matter.

Consistency and quality

From origin to roastery, every step is about consistency. Every shipment we receive is cupped and compared against its pre-ship sample to confirm that the coffee matches the quality and profile we expect. It’s a process that demands time and focus, but it’s what ensures every batch of Deluca coffee delivers on flavour and reliability.
