This washed lot from Gahahe Washing Station in Kayanza, Burundi offers a refined, structured cup with bright acidity and layered sweetness. Grown at around 1800 MASL from Red Bourbon trees, cherries are carefully sorted, pulped and fermented before extended washing and soaking, then dried slowly on raised beds. This attentive processing brings clarity and balance to the cup. Expect soft orchard fruit, gentle citrus depth and a marmalade like finish. A clean and elegant expression of Burundi’s high-grown coffees.

Origin Story

Gahahe Washing Station works with over 800 smallholder farmers in Burundi’s Kayanza province, where coffee is grown on small plots often alongside subsistence crops.
The station plays a central role in processing and quality control, with careful sorting, fermentation and drying helping to elevate the final cup. Supported by Greenco, farmers also benefit from access to seedlings, organic fertiliser and agronomy support aimed at improving yields and long-term sustainability. These collaborative efforts continue to strengthen Burundi’s position as a producer of clean, expressive and increasingly sought-after coffees.

Many of our producers have worked with us for years, refining the characteristics of the coffee we seek.These relationships are built on mutual respect and open communication. Travelling to visit our producing partners is key to nurturing relationships that matter.
Consistency and quality

From origin to roastery, every step is about consistency. Every shipment we receive is cupped and compared against its pre-ship sample to confirm that the coffee matches the quality and profile we expect. It’s a process that demands time and focus, but it’s what ensures every batch of Deluca coffee delivers on flavour and reliability.

We offer flat-rate shipping across Australia and free shipping on orders over a certain value (shown at checkout).

Orders are shipped on Tuesday's and Thursday's.

Orders placed by 2pm on Monday and Wednesday will be shipped next day, otherwise your order will be sent on the next shipping day.

We ship via Australia Post.

Parcel Post usually takes 2 to 4 business days after dispatch.

Express Post usually takes 1 to 2 business days.
